Configuring Mail Server Settings for Monitoring modules of IT360

This section is common to all the editions of IT360 - Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition, and the MSP Edition.

ManageEngine IT360 allows you to send email alert notifications on various network faults. In addition, the Reports module also uses this mail server settings to email the Scheduled Reports. IT360 sends the mail to the mail server specified in the e-mail notification profile. To configure the SMTP server settings globally, follow the steps given below:

  1. Go to Admin -> General, and click Mail Settings.

  2. Enter the SMTP Server name and the SMTP Port number in the relevant fields.

  3. Select Requires Authentication and enter the User name and Password details, if the server requires authentication to send e-mail.

  4. Configure the From and To Address fields.

  5. You may test the settings using the Test button.
  6. Click Save.

Please note that the above applies to configure the Outgoing Mail Server. In addition, when you want to use the helpdesk / ticketing module, you would also need to configure the Incoming Mail Server and this is covered in the next document separately.
