Description

This document provides steps to configure the port settings for chat.

• Endpoint Central MSP Chat uses port # 8052 by default however, this can be changed, if required.

Steps

To Configure the port number after the Endpoint Central MSP server is installed, follow the steps given below:

1. To Stop the Endpoint Central MSP server.
   1. Click start
   2. Point to Programs > ManageEngine Endpoint Central MSP
   3. Click Stop DesktopCentral
2. Open the websettings.conf located in <Install_Dir>\DesktopCentral_Server\conf. For
   example, C:\Program Files\DesktopCentral_Server\conf.
3. Change the port numbers of the following key with the required values
   httpnio.port
4. Save the file and close it
5. To Start the Endpoint Central MSP server.
   1. Click start
   2. Point to Programs>ManageEngine Endpoint Central MSP
   3. Click Start DesktopCentral

You can now initiate the chat session, using the Endpoint Central MSP server.
