This section is common to all the editions of IT360 - Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition (Probes only) and MSP Edition (Probes only).
You can configure additional properties of a device by adding additional fields. This makes device management easy. You can configure additional properties for both devices and interfaces. The steps for both are listed below.

Adding Field Properties in Bulk
Login to IT360 console with the Username and Password of an Admin user.
Click the Admin tab in the header pane.
Click Additional Fields under Monitoring Configuration, where you can find the list all of pre-populated fields in a table. (See the above figure)
Click Devices under the Device menu on the top right corner of the table.
Click the Add a Field button to configure the below additional values.
Field Name: Configure the name of the additional property
Field Type: Select the property type
Field Length: Set the length of the field.
Description : Add a meaningful description for the field.
The properties added are applied to all the devices. The additional fields are displayed when you click the Device Notes tab in Device Snapshot page. These properties are useful when configuring Notification profiles.
To delete the fields, you may click on the Delete icon, present against each of the additional field. Please note that you will not be able to delete the default additional fields provided.
You can add field properties to multiple devices via a CSV file. Follow the steps given below:
Click on Import Field properties from CSV button on the top right corner of the Additional Fields table.
In the Import File wizard displayed, click Choose File, Browse and select the CSV file. The CSV file should be in the following format:
Map the Field Name with the CSV Header.
The field properties are applied to the devices successfully.
