When I try to add a user to the Help desk role I encounter the 80072030 error code

Reason: The Distinguished Name of the user might have changed.

Solution: Do a domain refresh using these steps:

  • Click the Domain Settings link, located at top right corner of ADManager Plus window. You will now be in the Domain Configuration page, which lists all the domains that have been configured in ADManager Plus.
  • Click the refresh () icon located in the Actions column of the domain whose data you want to refresh.
  • From the options listed in the Update Domain Details window that pops up, select the data that you wish to synchronize.
  • Click OK to synchronize the data.
