How to identify Active Directory user accounts with empty attributes?

Objective: To identity users for whom the specified attributes are empty (do not have any value).

Solution: Use ADManager Plus' Users with Empty Attributes report to zero in on all the users with empty attributes.

Using the Users with Empty Attributes report

  1. Click the Reports tab.
  2. Go to User Reports. Under General Reports, click the Users with Empty Attributes report.
  3. In the Users with Empty Attributes report page, select the domains for which you wish to generate this report. Limit the report scope to only specific OUs of the selected domains using the Add OUs link located beside every selected domain.
  4. In Empty Attributes List, select the attributes that you wish to check.
  5. In Matching Criteria, based on your need, choose whether you wish to list a user only if all the specified attributes are empty or even if any of the selected attribute is empty.
  6. Hit the Generate button to view the report. To export this report, use the Export As option and select the desired format.

Note: By default only a specific set of attributes/fields are displayed in the report. If you wish to view other fields/attributes too, click the Add/Remove Columns option located just above the first row of the report and select the necessary fields.
