How to create custom reports using ADManager Plus

Objective: To create custom reports using ADManager Plus.

Solution: The Custom Reports option of ADManager Plus allows you to generate reports according to the needs of your organization, without the use of complex PowerShell scripts.

Steps to create, modify and generate a custom report:

  1. Logon to ADManager Plus and click on the Reports tab.
  2. Click on the Custom Reports option located on the left pane.
  3. To create a custom report:
    1. Click on New custom report.
    2. Provide a suitable name and description for the report.
    3. Use the Add to category option and select the category under which you wish to list the report. You can also create a custom category by clicking on the + symbol.
    4. Select the domain and the OUs for which you wish to provide the option of generating this report.
    5. Select the required object type from the drop-down list available under the Conditions section. If you wish to specify custom parameters for this report like Exchange settings or user account control settings, provide the required query.
    6. Further fine-tune the report by specifying the values of individual attributes using the Click to add button under the Filters section.
    7. Select the attributes that must be present in your report. You can also select custom AD attributes added to ADManager Plus to be specified in this report.
    8. Click on Save.
  4. To generate a custom report:
    1. Click on the previously created custom report.
    2. Provide the domain and OU name for which you wish to generate the report.
    3. Click Generate.

      NOTE: You can edit this report by clicking on the edit option located at the top right corner of the page.
      You can export this report into a CSV, PDF, XLS or HTML file by clicking on the More option.

  5. To modify or delete a custom report:
    1. Hover the mouse over the report and click on the Edit or Delete option based on your requirements.
