How to create custom reports using ADManager Plus

The Custom Reports option of ADManager Plus enables you to generate reports according to the needs of your organization, without the use of complex PowerShell scripts.

Steps to create, modify, and generate a custom report

  • Logon to ADManager Plus and click on the Reports tab.
  • Click the Custom Reports option located on the left pane.
  • To create a custom report:
    1. Click + New custom report.
    2. Provide a suitable name and description for the report.
    3. Use the Add report to option and select the category under which you wish to list the report. You can also create a custom category by clicking on the + symbol.
    4. Select the domain and the OUs you wish to generate the reports for.
    5. Select the required object type from the drop-down list available under the Conditions section.
    6. In the Filters section, click LDAP Filter to create a customized LDAP search query for an object. You can add the conditions to the filter by clicking on the + symbol.Click on to add grouped conditions.
    7. Click on Advanced Filters to auto-update the LDAP query based on the report chosen. You can also create custom LDAP queries manually using the edit option. View the auto populated LDAP query based on the filters in the Preview query section.
    8. Select the columns that must be present in your report from the Columns tab. You can also select custom AD attributes added to ADManager Plus to be specified in this report under Select custom attributes.
    9. Under the Management Actions tab, select the management operations that you wish to perform from this report.
    10. Further fine-tune the results by clicking on Refine results and provide conditions to display the results.
    11. Click Save.
  • To generate a custom report:
    • Click the previously created custom report.
    • Provide the domain and OU name for which you wish to generate the report.
    • Click Generate.

      NOTE: You can edit this report by clicking Edit report located at the top right corner of the page. You can also export this report as a CSV, CSVDE, PDF, XLS, or HTML file by clicking Export As.

  • To modify or delete a custom report:
    • Hover the mouse over the report and click on the edit or delete icons based on your requirements.
