How to Modify Secondary Email Address in Bulk using ADManager Plus?

Objective: To modify users' secondary email addresses in bulk.

Solution: The CSV import option in ADManager Plus makes is easier to modify secondary email addresses of multiple user accounts in just a single operation.

Steps to modify SMTP address for users:

  1. Click Management tab.
  2. Under User Management -> Exchange tasks, select Modify SMTP Address.
  3. Choose Mailbox Enabled Users or Mail Enabled Users, by selecting the appropriate radio button.
  4. In the Proxy Address section, select the + icon. In the dialog box, select the Email address type as SMTP.
  5. In the Additional Email Address section, you have the option of including the secondary email address in any preferred format. For example if you want the secondary email address format to be first name.last name@email.com” enter smtp: %givenName%.%sn%@email.com.”. Click OK.
  6. Select the domain and OU.
  7. There are three ways to select the users whose SMTP address have to be modified:
    • Enter multiple names separated by a comma in the text box provided and click Search.
    • Leave the field blank and click Search to see all users in the selected domain and OU.
    • Import a CSV file containing the list of users.
  8. Once you have selected the users, click Apply.
