How to view the direct reports of a specific manager in AD using ADManager Plus

ADManager Plus allows you to list all the employees that report to a specific manager by generating the Manager Based Users report. As opposed to native AD tools, which allow you to generate AD reports only using complex PowerShell or VB scripts, ADManager Plus offers prepackaged reports to fetch any information that you might need from AD in just a few clicks. Furthermore, you can perform management operations from within these reports.

Steps to generate a report on all the direct reports of a manager

• Log in to ADManager Plus and navigate to the Reports tab.
• Go to User Reports > General Reports > Manager Based Users.
• Select the domains for which you wish to generate this report. Limit the report scope to only specific OUs of the selected domains by clicking the Add OUs link located next to Selected Domain.
• Select the manager whose direct reports you wish to view.
• Click Generate.

  

  Note: You can use the Add or Remove Column option to add or remove attributes whose values you wish to view in the reports. To perform management operations from within these reports:

  1. Select the required users, and click More Actions.
  2. Select from management operations such as Reset Password, Enable/Disable Users, and more.
  3. Click Go.
