How to use the ADManager Plus report scheduler?

Objective: To use and manage the ADManager Plus report scheduler in order to schedule Active Directory (AD) or Office 365 reports.

Solution:ADManager Plus allows you to automatically generate AD or Office 365 reports at a specific time without using complex scripts.

Steps to manage AD report scheduling in ADManager Plus:

  1. Logon to ADManager Plus and click on the Reports tab.
  2. Click on the Scheduled List option located at the top-right corner of the page.
  3. To create a schedule:
    1. Click on the Create Schedule option and provide a suitable schedule name and description.
    2. Select the Domain for which you wish to schedule report generation.
    3. Select the Report type and select the reports that you wish to schedule. Click on the Customize Columns option located next to the selected reports configure the columns that you wish to view in the generated report.
    4. Select the duration and frequency for the execution of the schedule.
    5. Provide the file format and the Storage Path where the generated reports must be archived.
    6. Specify the address to which the reports must be emailed. You can use commas to specify multiple email addresses. You can also click on the Advanced Mail Settings option to configure the mail content and attachment type.

      NOTE: If you select the Notify only if data is available option in Advanced Mail Settings, then the email will not be sent to the recipients if the report does not contain any data.

    7. Click on Save.
  4. To modify a schedule:
    1. Click on the Scheduled List option.
    2. Click on the:
      1. Modify symbol to modify the schedule.
      2. Copy symbol to copy one schedule to create another schedule.
      3. Enable symbol to enable the schedule.
      4. Disable symbol to disable the schedule.
      5. Share symbol to share the schedule with other technicians and specify the names of the technicians.
      6. Delete symbol to delete the schedule.
  5. To view scheduler history:
    1. Click on the Scheduler History option. Using this option you can view the scheduler name, description, domains configured, starting time of the scheduler, schedule execution status, complete report and email status of the scheduler.

For scheduling Office 365 reports, click on the Office 365 tab, click on the Reports section, and follow the above-mentioned steps.
