Unable to view automation tasks created by another technician

ADManager Plus' automation capability makes it easy to automate repetitive and critical Active Directory (AD) operations such as user creation, password reset, account unlock, and AD cleanup. It also allows a technician to use the automations configured by other technicians. However, sometimes a technician might not be able to view the automations configured by other technicians, because of sharing issues.

Possible reason: For a technician to be able to view and use an automation created by another technician, it must be shared by the creator of the automation to this technician. So, if a technician is not able to view the automations of other technicians, the most probable reason is that they might not have been shared yet.

Solution: To allow a technician to view automations of others, share them explicitly to the relevant technicians or users using the following steps:

  1. Click the Automation tab.
  2. Under Automation, click the Automation feature. It will display all the automations created by you.
  3. Point the mouse over the Actions column of the automation that you wish to share with other users.
  4. Click the Share icon that becomes visible.
  5. Select the technicians with whom this automation has to be shared, and click Share.

To export this report, use the 'Export As' option and select the desired format from CSV, PDF, HTML, or Excel.
