With proactive alerts and historical trend analysis, it helps you quickly detect and resolve issues affecting your Lightsail-hosted applications.

Monitored Parameters

Go to the Monitors Category View by clicking the Monitors tab. Click on the Lightsail Load Balancer instance available under Amazon in the Cloud Apps section. Displayed below is the Amazon Lightsail Load Balancer bulk configuration view, distributed into three tabs:

  • Availability tab gives the availability history for the past 24 hours or 30 days.
  • Performance tab gives the health status and events for the past 24 hours or 30 days.
  • List view tab enables you to perform bulk admin configurations.

By clicking a monitor from the list, you'll be taken to the Amazon Lightsail Load Balancer dashboard, which includes the following tabs:

Performance Overview

Load Balancer StateThe current operational state of the Lightsail load balancer at the time of polling.
DNS NameThe DNS name of the load balancer.
Number of Attached InstancesThe number of instances attached to the load balancer.
Number of TLS CertificatesThe number of TLS certificates associated with the load balancer.
HOST AVAILABILITY
Number of Unhealthy HostsThe number of unhealthy target instances registered with the load balancer at the time of polling.
Number of Healthy HostsThe number of healthy target instances currently registered with the load balancer at the time of polling.
INSTANCE RESPONSE TIME
Instance Response TimeThe average time taken for the target instances to respond to the load balancer between poll intervals (in seconds).
LOAD BALANCER ERROR RESPONSE BREAKDOWN
HTTP 4XX Client Errors (Load Balancer)The total number of HTTP 4XX client error responses returned by the load balancer between poll intervals.
HTTP 5XX Server Errors (Load Balancer)The total number of HTTP 5XX server error responses returned by the load balancer between poll intervals.
INSTANCE RESPONSE DISTRIBUTION
HTTP 2XX Success Responses (Instance)The total number of HTTP 2XX response codes returned by the target instances between poll intervals.
HTTP 3XX Redirection Responses (Instance)The total number of HTTP 3XX response codes returned by the target instances between poll intervals.
HTTP 4XX Client Errors (Instance)The total number of HTTP 4XX response codes returned by the target instances between poll intervals.
HTTP 5XX Server Errors (Instance)The total number of HTTP 5XX response codes returned by the target instances between poll intervals.
NUMBER OF REQUESTS
Number of RequestsThe total number of requests processed by the load balancer between poll intervals.
TLS & CONNECTION ERRORS
Client TLS Negotiation ErrorsThe total number of TLS connections initiated by a client that failed to establish a TLS session with the load balancer between poll intervals.
Rejected ConnectionsThe total number of connections was rejected because the load balancer reached its maximum capacity of concurrent connections between the poll intervals.

Instance NameThe name of the Lightsail instance attached to the load balancer.
Instance HealthThe health status of the attached instance (healthy or unhealthy).
Health ReasonThe reason for the current health status of the attached instance.
