NetFlow Monitoring

I already have OpManager. Why do I need the NetFlow add-on?

OpManager helps you to monitor health, availability, and performance of all devices and applications on your network. The NetFlow add-on provides detailed information on network bandwidth usage with drill-down into specific applications, users, ports and conversations. This helps in determining the exact reason for bandwidth spikes and outages. The store of flow information thus collected also helps in important capacity planning decisions. The combination of OpManager & NetFlow Add-on serves as a powerful and extensive network monitoring solution for your enterprise.

Which devices are supported by the NetFlow add-on?

The NetFlow Add-on leverages NetFlow®, sFlow®, IPFIX® cflowd®, J-Flow®, rFlow®, NetStream® and Cisco NBAR® information exported from routing - switching devices to provide in depth visibility into the top talkers and applications on your network. Click here for the detailed supported devices list.

How the NetFlow add-on is licensed?

OpManager’s NetFlow add-on is licensed based on the number of interfaces*. You have the option of purchasing a license for the required number of supported devices or critical interfaces. Check out our Pricing page for detailed pricing.

*Any Physical, Virtual, Sub, VLAN Interface is considered as an interface for licensing purpose.

Do I need to download the NetFlow add-on separately? If so, what are the prerequisites?

No, there is no need to download/install NetFlow Analyzer separately when used as an add-on to OpManager.

What installation platforms are supported?

OpManager supports both Windows and Linux installations (.exe & .bin), and the NetFlow add-on will be compatible with the same platforms as OpManager.

Does the NetFlow Add-on need a separate database?

NetFlow add-on uses the same MySQL/MSSQL instance of OpManager for storing the collected data.

I'm already an OpManager customer, how can I evaluate NetFlow add-on? Or if I'm evaluating OpManager now, how can I get the NetFlow add-on?
