We recommend users to move to the latest version OpManager 8 build #8024 released on October 09th 2009 (README) (How can I find my Build number?)

Who should upgrade?	Download and Install
Customers using builds 8000 & above	Service Pack 2 for moving to build 8020 and then apply the HotFix 8024
Customers using builds 7200 & above	Upgrade pack to move to OpManager v8, apply Service Pack 2 and then apply Hotfix 8024.
Customers using builds 7100 & above (How can I find my Build number?)	Service Pack 2 for 7.0 for moving to build 7200, apply Upgrade pack to move to OpManager v8, apply Service Pack 2 and then apply Hotfix 8024.
Customers using builds between 7010 & 7027 (How can I find my Build number?)	Service Pack 1 for 7.0 for moving to build 7100, apply Service Pack 2 for 7.0 for moving to build 7200, apply Upgrade pack to move to OpManager v8, apply Service Pack 2 and then apply Hotfix 8024.

Shut down OpManager. (If OpManager is running as a service, stop the service from Control Panel > Services window)
Take a backup by executing the command <opmanager-home>/bin/backup/BackupDB.bat
Run the script 'UpdateManager.bat (UpdateManager.sh for Linux) in the <opmanager-home>/bin folder. This opens the Update Manager tool.
Click "Install" and then click "Browse" to select the Upgrade Pack file (the .ppm file that you'd downloaded).
Follow the on-screen instructions to apply the Service/Upgrade Pack.
Once the upgrade is complete, start OpManager Server.

It is required to restart OpManager after applying each hotfix or service pack.
If you are using a build earlier to 7010, please contact OpManager Support to upgrade.
