Steps to upgrade DataSecurity Plus to the latest version (PostgresSQL):

  1. Stop the DataSecurity Plus Service: Click Start > Run. Type in services.msc and stop ManageEngine DataSecurity Plus)
  2. Back up the existing DataSecurity Plus installation using any of the following methods:
    • Zip the entire product installation folder, i.e., <Installation_Folder>\ManageEngine\DataSecurity Plus.
    • Take a backup of the database. Go to <Installation_Folder>\ManageEngine\DataSecurity Plus\bin. Execute backupDB.bat in a command prompt.
  3. Run the PatchManager.bat file or the UpdateManager.bat file under the <Installation_Folder>\ManageEngine\DataSecurity Plus\bin folder.
    Note: For Windows 7, Vista, 2008, 2008R2, 2012, and 2012R2 computers with UAC enabled, run the PatchManager.bat file or the UpdateManager.bat as an administrator.
  4. Browse for and Install the downloaded PPM file.
  5. Wait until the upgrade is completed. Please do not terminate the service pack upgrade process prematurely.
 

Step-by-step instructions on how to share log data

Product logs help us analyze the issue and get back to you with an update more quickly. Please follow the below steps to upload the product logs.

  1. 1. Stop DataSecurity Plus (Start > DataSecurity Plus > Stop DataSecurity Plus).
  2. 2. Open the <Installation directory>\ManageEngine\DataSecurity Plus folder.
  3. 3. Open the Logs folder, select everything except the Archive folder. Right-click and compress it.
  4. 4. Upload the compressed file here.
  5. 5. Add the File Link obtained in the Share Logs text box.
 

How do I find out my build number?

  1. 1 Click the License tab located in the top-right corner.
  2. 2 The build number is mentioned in the License Details pop-up box.
