Resolve Red Hat portal connection errors by allowing the required Red Hat and CDN domains through antivirus, firewall, and proxy controls.
Problem
Red Hat patch downloads or deployments fail with the error Unable to reach https://access.redhat.com/downloads.
Cause
The central server cannot connect to the Red Hat portal because an antivirus, firewall, or proxy policy is blocking a required domain.
Resolution
Allow the following domains through the antivirus, firewall, and proxy controls used by the central server:
- https://access.redhat.com
- https://sso.redhat.com
- https://access.cdn.redhat.com
- https://cdn.datatables.net
- https://static.redhat.com
- https://www.redhat.com
- https://cdn.jsdelivr.net
- https://code.jquery.com/
Retry the Red Hat patch download or deployment. If the issue persists, contact support and provide the relevant log files.
