Applications Manager provides the flexibility in fault management by triggering actions, such as sending e-mail, SMS, trap, and executing a command, to notify you of the alarms generated while monitoring the applications. These corrective actions make fault detection easier and faster enhancing Monitor Group management.
To trigger such corrective actions, you should have defined the action, which can then be associated with an attribute. Applications manager supports the following actions:
You can view the complete list of actions that are created in Applications Manager under Settings tab → Alarm/Action → Actions or by selecting the View Actions option under the Actions dropdown. Here you can choose to Delete, Add New, Enable, Disable, Edit, or Execute actions based on the respective action type. However, disabled actions will not be executed during the following conditions:
This option allows you to export action details in CSV format. All fields and their corresponding values displayed on the Action Creation page will be included in the export. Also, you can download a CSV file that reflects the exact values in the product UI. This option can be enabled or disabled as per requirement. Enable/Disable status will be included as an additional field for all the actions.
Applications Manager supports auditing for Email and SMS actions triggered by alarms. Each time an action is executed, details such as recipients, status, and trigger time are logged for traceability.
You can view the audit logs under Actions → View Actions tab. Filters such as severity, resource type, and time range (Today, Yesterday, etc.) can be applied. By default, only records from the last 6 hours are shown.
Audit logs are stored for 30 days (configurable up to 100 days) and can be exported as CSV. A maximum of 1,000 records are shown per page.
