Windows operating system provides a storage location called Certificate Stores that houses all types of digital certificates. Key Manager Plus facilitates management of certificates from MS Certificate Store directly from its user interface. All the certificates are discovered and imported into the KMP database initially, after which they can be managed from the product interface. By choosing the discovery type as Local Certificate Authority, you can discover, consolidate and track certificates exclusively issued by Microsoft Certificate Authority (CA).
In addition to discovery, you can also request and acquire certificates from the local CA directly from Key Manager Plus. The process is quite simple and just involves generation and submission of a certificate signing request (CSR) to the local CA followed by certificate issue. Also, Key Manager Plus facilitates automatic renewal of the local CA certificates based on intervals of your choosing.
