Invalid APNs certificate

Problem

You get an error message "Invalid APNs certificate" while uploading APNs certificate.

Cause

You might get this error message due to one of the following reasons:

  1. Wrong APNs file format
  2. Incorrect APNs password (Applicable only for versions lower than Mobile Device Manager Plus Build 90072)
  3. APNs certificate expired (Applicable only for versions lower than Mobile Device Manager Plus Build 90072)

Resolution

You need to verify the following while uploading the APNS certificate and managing a mobile device using Mobile Device Manager Plus.

Wrong APNs file format

While uploading APNs certificate, ensure that the uploaded file is in .p12 format for earlier versions of Mobile Device Manager Plus.

For Mobile device Manager Plus Build 90072 and above, ensure that the uploaded file is in .pem format.

Incorrect APNs password

When you upload APNs certificate, ensure that you provide the same password that you have used to create the APNs certificate.

APNs certificate Expired

Ensure that the APNs certificate is valid, if the APNs certificate has expired, re-generate a new APNs certificate and upload the same.
