Working with Mobile Device Manager Plus MSP

Starting Mobile Device Manager Plus MSP

Mobile Device Manager Plus can be started in any of the following ways:

1. Double-click the ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus MSP icon from the desktop.
2. Select Start --> Programs --> ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus MSP --> Start Mobile Device Manager Plus MSP

Starting the Mobile Device Manager Plus MSP automatically launches the client in the default browser.

Note: When Mobile Device Manager Plus MSP is started in Windows XP / Windows 2003 machines with firewall enabled, Windows will pop up security alerts asking whether to block or unblock the the following programs:

1. mysqld-nt - Database server
2. Java(TM) 2 Platform Standard Edition binary - Java.

You should Unblock these programs to start Mobile Device Manager Plus MSP.

Starting Mobile Device Manager Plus MSP Client

1. Open a JavaScript-enabled Web Browser. For example, Internet Explorer.
2. Type http://localhost:9040 OR http://Host_Name:9040 in the address bar and press "Enter".
   Note: By default, Mobile Device Manager Plus MSP runs on port 9040.
3. In the login page enter a valid user name and password. This provides an authenticated access to Mobile Device Manager Plus MSP. By default, the user name and password are "admin" and "admin" respectively.
4. Click "Login".
5. The Mobile Device Manager Plus MSP webclient is launched in the Web browser.

Stopping Mobile Device Manager Plus MSP

To stop Mobile Device Manager Plus MSP, Select Start --> Programs --> ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus MSP --> Stop Mobile Device Manager Plus MSP

Uninstallation

To uninstall Mobile Device Manager Plus MSP, select Start --> Programs --> ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus MSP--> Uninstall
