Microsoft Azure Application Insight Monitoring

Microsoft Azure Application Insight - An Overview

Azure Application Insights is an extensible Application Performance Management (APM) service for developers and DevOps professionals. Applications Manager's Azure Application Insight monitoring provides visibility into availability percentages, request rates and durations, server-side and browser exceptions, dependency calls, browser page timings, and process-level CPU and memory.

Monitored Parameters

Navigate to the Category View by clicking the Monitors tab. Hover over 'Child Monitors' under Microsoft Azure in the Cloud Apps table, and then select the Application Insights monitor from the displayed tooltip. This action will display the bulk configuration view for Microsoft Azure Application Insight in three tabs:

  • Availability tab gives the availability history for the past 24 hours or 30 days.
  • Performance tab gives the health status and events for the past 24 hours or 30 days.
  • List view tab enables you to perform bulk admin configurations.

Following are the list of metrics monitored in Microsoft Azure Application Insight Monitoring in their corresponding tabs:
