Notification Settings
The Notification Settings section enables administrators to configure notification preferences for email and SMS communications from ADSelfService Plus. These notifications keep users and administrators informed about important events related to the product.

To access these settings and configure notifications, log into ADSelfService Plus with admin credentials and navigate to Admin > Product Settings > Mail/SMS Settings > Notifications Settings.
Mail Notification
The Mail Notification settings enable you to control which events trigger email notifications to admins and end users.
- Select Enable license expiration notification to alert admins via email when:
- There are a specified number of days until the ADSelfService Plus license expires.
- There are a specified number of available ADSelfService Plus licenses.
- An ADSelfService Plus license expires.
- Select Enable notifications for product startup and downtime events to receive an email when the server is down.
- Select Enable notifications for new product updates to receive email alerts on the latest feature updates.
- Select Enable notifications for events and workshops to receive email alerts on events and workshops conducted by ManageEngine.
- To send alerts to all of the users' secondary email addresses, select Send notifications to the secondary email addresses of all end users. When this setting is enabled, users will receive email alerts on both their primary and secondary email addresses.
SMS Notification
The SMS Notification settings enable you to send SMS alerts to admins and end users.
- Select Enable product startup and downtime SMS notifications for this mobile number to receive an SMS when the server is down. Enter the number on which to receive the SMS in the text box.
- To send alerts to all of the users' secondary mobile numbers, select Send notifications to the secondary mobile numbers of all end users. When this setting is selected, users will receive SMS notifications on both their primary and secondary mobile numbers.
Once you have enabled the notifications you wish to be sent, click Save Settings.

Follow the recommended guidelines below to get the most out of notifications, maximize reach, and ensure critical alerts aren't missed due to outdated contact details.
- Enable license expiration notifications to prevent service interruptions caused by sudden license expiry.
- Configure both email and SMS notifications for critical events to ensure immediate communication, enabling you to take prompt action when needed.
- Enable product update notifications to stay informed about new features and security patches.
- Regularly review notification settings to keep them aligned with your organization's needs.
