Secure the process with MFA using methods such as biometrics and TOTP. Ensure that only authorized users belonging to specific domains, OUs, and groups have access to the features.
Alert remote users, such as VPN and OWA users, of impending password and account expiration through SMS, mail, or push notifications. Schedule periodic notifications leading up to the expiry date to attract user attention and encourage password change. Implement HTML, attachments, and images to make the alerts stand out.
