Mobile application management (MAM) or mobile app management is the process of managing the life cycle of the store and internal mobile applications used within an enterprise. Mobile application management involves configuring, distributing, installing, updating, and deleting store and in-house apps on both enterprise- and employee-owned devices. Enterprise mobile application management allows IT admins to manage mobile app licenses and the permissions required by mobile apps. They can also define app-based security policies to place restrictions on business apps and their associated data.
