Working with Mobile Device Manager Plus

Starting Mobile Device Manager Plus

Mobile Device Manager Plus can be started in any of the following ways:

Double-click the ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus icon from the desktop.
or
Select Start --> Programs --> ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus --> Start Mobile Device Manager Plus

Starting the Mobile Device Manager Plus automatically launches the client in the default browser.

Note: When Mobile Device Manager Plus is started in Windows XP / Windows 2003 machines with firewall enabled, Windows will pop up security alerts asking whether to block or unblock the the following programs:

1. Postgres - Database server
2. Java(TM) 2 Platform Standard Edition binary - Java.

You should Unblock these programs to start Mobile Device Manager Plus.

Starting Mobile Device Manager Plus Client

1. Open a JavaScript-enabled Web Browser. For example, Internet Explorer.
2. Type http://localhost:9020 OR http://host-name:9020 in the address bar and press Enter.
   Note: By default, Mobile Device Manager Plus runs on port 9020.
3. In the login page, enter a valid user name and password. This provides an authenticated access to Mobile Device Manager Plus.
4. On clicking Login, the Mobile Device Manager Plus Client is launched in the Web browser.

Steps to be performed after initial login

1. Configure NAT settings
2. Configure the proxy settings
3. Configure Mail Server settings
4. Create APNs Certificate
5. Configure User and Role Management module

Stopping Mobile Device Manager Plus

To stop Mobile Device Manager Plus, select Start --> Programs --> ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus --> Stop Mobile Device Manager Plus

Uninstallation

To uninstall Mobile Device Manager Plus, select Start --> Programs --> ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus --> Uninstall
