Year 2010 in Review

Hope you all had a great start to the new year. The year that just went past us was busy and exciting one for us here at ManageEngine Applications Manager. Here's a quick look at what we did in 2010:

Breaking New Ground

Up until 2010, Applications Manager was focused primarily on monitoring the physical component of your IT infrastructure, including application servers, servers, databases, etc. Last year, we broke new ground by venturing into virtualization monitoring and cloud monitoring. In fact, Applications Manager now lets you monitor the physical, virtual and cloud components of your hybrid IT environment from a single management console.

Add-on Features Introduced in 2010

VMware Monitor to monitor VMware ESX/ESXi host servers and their guest virtual machine instances.  Amazon web services (AWS) to monitor Amazon EC2 and RDS instances and the apps running in the Amazon cloud.
Real Browser Monitor to monitor end-user experience from multiple locations including branch offices.  Anomaly Detection to proactively detect potential threats to application performance before they become bigger problems.

Other notable features introduced last year are PostgreSQL monitoring, Memcached monitoring, REST APIs to integrate Applications Manager with internal portals and more.

Awards Won in 2010

Customer Speak

"As developers of business-critical applications, we know how important uptime is. By using ManageEngine Applications Manager to monitor our clients' applications, we are able to respond immediately to problems, often notifying our clients of resolved issues they were not even aware existed! How great is that?"
