Working with Exchange Reporter Plus

Starting Exchange Reporter Plus

Exchange Reporter Plus can be started as a user process or a Windows service. Starting it as a user process requires the admin to start the application each time the system reboots. Starting it as a Windows service allows the product to start automatically each time the system reboots.

Start Exchange Reporter Plus as a user process

  1. Select Start > All Programs > Exchange Reporter Plus > Start Exchange Reporter Plus or double-click the Exchange Reporter Plus Console icon from the desktop.
  2. Note: Exchange Reporter Plus will automatically launch in the default browser.

Install and start Exchange Reporter Plus as a Windows service

  1. Stop Exchange Reporter Plus if it is already running. To do so, select Start > All Programs > Exchange Reporter Plus > Stop Exchange Reporter Plus.
  2. Select Start > All Programs > Exchange Reporter Plus > Install Exchange Reporter Plus Service.
  3. A pop-up box will appear requesting credentials. Please enter the credentials of a user with administrative privileges on the local machine where the product is installed.
  4. Open Run and type services.msc.
  5. Right-click the ManageEngine Exchange Reporter Plus service and select Start.

Access the Exchange Reporter Plus console

  1. Open a web browser of your choice.
  2. Type http://<Host Name>:8181 in the address bar and press Enter.
  3. Note: By default, Exchange Reporter Plus runs on port 8181.

  4. On the login page, enter a valid username and password. This provides authenticated access to Exchange Reporter Plus. By default, both the username and password are admin.
  5. Click Login. The Exchange Reporter Plus client will launch in the opened web browser.

Note: It's recommended to create a new password as soon as possible to enhance security.

Stopping Exchange Reporter Plus

  1. Select Start > All Programs > Exchange Reporter Plus > Stop Exchange Reporter Plus.

Uninstalling Exchange Reporter Plus

  1. Navigate to the path where Exchange Reporter Plus had been installed. By default, it will be under Start > All Programs > ManageEngine Exchange Reporter Plus.
  2. Select Uninstall Exchange Reporter Plus.
  3. Confirm your choice to uninstall Exchange Reporter Plus.
  4. Once the uninstallation is complete, a feedback form will appear. Please provide your reason for uninstalling Exchange Reporter Plus to help us improve the product.

Ports requirements

Exchange Reporter Plus requires certain ports to remain open for optimal functionality. Please refer to our system and port requirements for the list of necessary ports.

Configuring Exchange Reporter Plus servers

To start reporting and auditing your Exchange environment, you'll need to configure your Exchange Server instance so Exchange Reporter Plus can collect data.
