Instructions to Apply Service Pack

Follow steps 1 through 9 to apply the service pack.
  1. Shut down the ADAudit Plus server.
    1. (Start --> All Programs --> ADAudit Plus --> Stop ADAudit Plus)
    2. In case you have installed ADAudit Plus as a NT Service, stop the service (Start --> Run --> type services.msc ---> Stop "ManageEngine ADAudit Plus" )

      Please ensure the ADAudit Plus server is stopped⁄terminated properly. Applying the Service Pack with the server running might lead to either the Service Pack not getting applied properly or unexpected errors while startup.

  2. Take a backup of the existing ADAudit Plus by creating a ZIP file of the contents of </ADAuditPlusHome/> directory and save it as ADAuditPlus.zip in the </ADAuditPlusHome/> directory.
  3. Execute the UpdateManager.bat file present in the <ADAuditPlusHome>/bin directory.

    For Windows 7 / Vista / 2008 / 2008 R2 machines with User Account Control enabled.

    • Select 'Run as Administrator' while opening a command prompt from the "Start Menu".
    • Execute the UpdateManager.bat file present in the <ADAuditPlusHome>/bin directory.
  4. Click Browse and select the .PPM file that you have downloaded.
  5. Click Install to install the service pack. This may take several minutes depending on the amount of data that needs to be migrated, so please do not terminate the procedure prematurely.
  6. Wait until the service pack is fully installed.
  7. Click Close and then click Exit to exit the Update Manager tool.
  8. Start the ADAudit Plus server.

How do I find out my Build number?

Log in to the ADAudit Plus web client, and click the "License" link in the top pane. You will find the "Build no:" mentioned below the "Product version:" This is the build number of the currently installed ADAudit Plus.
