Active Directory Disable / Delete Exchange MailboxDeleting Exchange mailboxes is a fairly simple and completely-GUI oriented task in ADManager Plus. In fact, you can delete (or disable) Exchange mailboxes as and when you de-provision a user account - all from one single screen. (ADManager Plus allows you to create "Delete Policy", wherein you can list out the entitlements - such as Exchange mailboxes, home folders, roaming profiles - that have to be deleted (or disconnected) when a user leaves. Usually, deleting the mailboxes of users is a roundabout Exchange task when done using native AD tools, PowerShell, etc. Whenever an active directory user's Exchange mailbox has to be deleted, the administrator sometimes has to toggle between several tools - active directory user management consoles and different exchange tools for different versions of Exchange Server. And when the mailboxes of many users have to be deleted using the native tools of Active Directory and Exchange, the task becomes even more tedious and painstaking, forcing administrators to resort to scripting. Moreover, since such tasks and methods require sound "Exchange knowledge" and familiarity with the native tools, offloading it to helpdesk becomes out of question. However, ADManager Plus offers an alternative, remedying the shortcomings discussed above. With ADManager Plus, the web-based Active Directory and Exchange Management and Reporting software, administrators no longer have to constantly toggle between multiple tools or applications to delete/ disable a user's mailbox. This task can be accomplished from ADManager Plus's console using its 'Disable/Delete User Mailbox' feature. You can disable/delete the mailbox of multiple users in just a single operation.
