Modification templates to update Active Directory accounts

Using ADManager Plus' account modification templates, you can modify multiple attributes of Active Directory accounts, in one go. These templates allow you to store the common values of attributes, and then update them in multiple accounts. So, instead of keying in the values for attributes individually for every AD object, you can just apply these templates to make the required modifications to your AD objects, saving a lot of time and effort.

This web-based Active Directory management tool offers three types of modification templates, namely:

• AD contact modification templates.

Modification rules

Using modification rules, you can specify a set of conditions in the modification template that must be evaluated whenever an AD account is modified using that template. During user/ group/ contact modification process, if the conditions are satisfied, the relevant attributes of the AD accounts will be automatically updated with the values specified in the modification rule.

Drag-n-drop customization

Besides 'modification rules', the other highlight of modification templates is their 'drag-n-drop' customization component. This customization feature allows you to configure the user, contact, and group modification templates exactly as per your need. With simple 'drag-n-drop' actions, you can place only the required attributes in the templates.

Also, this customization feature provides you the complete freedom to determine the attributes that can or cannot be modified by the delegated users. If needed, desired attributes can be made hidden or read only, depending on the users to whom the task of modifying the objects has been delegated.
