ADSelfService Plus-Log360 Integration

Integrate Log360 with ADSelfService Plus for log management and incident management

ADSelfService Plus offers seamless integration with ManageEngine Log360, a unified SIEM solution with integrated DLP and CASB capabilities. By integrating ADSelfService Plus with Log360, organizations can enable smooth forwarding of ADSelfService Plus logs and ensure compliance with audit requirements.

Log360 helps you collect, analyze, and manage log data from various sources to provide insights into your organization's security posture and assist in detecting and responding to security incidents. By centrally analyzing logs from various sources, including ADSelfService Plus, Log360 helps correlate seemingly unrelated events and identify attack patterns.

This guide will walk you through the process of integrating ADSelfService Plus with Log360.

Benefits of the ADSelfService Plus-Log360 integration:

  • Real-time insights into user interactions and security incidents
  • Log analysis and correlation to identify potential security threats
  • Protection of sensitive data and maintenance of the integrity of your organization's IT ecosystem, especially in syslog and Windows event log management
  • Enhanced incident detection and response capabilities

How to integrate ADSelfService Plus with Log360

  1. Log in to ADSelfService Plus with your admin credentials.
  2. Navigate to Overview > Admin > Product Settings > Integration Settings.
  3. Click the Log360 tab and configure the following:

Integrate ADSelfService Plus with EventLog Analyzer

    • Server Name or IP: Enter the name or IP address of the machine in which EventLog Analyzer, the log management component of Log360, is installed.
    • Port Number: Enter the port number through which the EventLog Analyzer service is running.
    • Protocol: Select the protocol that must be used to connect to the EventLog Analyzer server.
    • Username and Password: Configure the EventLog Analyzer Super Admin's credentials in the Username and Password fields.
    • Select Log Type: Select the type of log that you would like to forward to EventLog Analyzer: Access Logs, Debug Logs, or both.
      • Access Logs: Select Access Logs if you would like to forward ADSelfService Plus' web server access logs.
      • Debug Logs: Select Debug Logs if you would like to forward event logs related to startups and logins.
  4. Once you have selected the ADSelfService Plus log types that you want to export to Log360, click Save.

Note: When integrating Log360 with existing Load Balancing or High Availability deployments of ADSelfService Plus, all node log files will be seamlessly forwarded to Log360.

However, implementing High Availability or Load Balancing on ADSelfService Plus deployments that are already forwarding log files to Log360 can disrupt log file recognition from the secondary nodes. In such cases, disable the Log360-ADSelfService Plus integration and enable it again.
