Monitoring OCI resources with Tags

OpManager Nexus allows you to efficiently monitor Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) resources using tags. Tags are key-value pairs that help in organizing, filtering, and managing OCI resources across your infrastructure. With OpManager Nexus Tags, you can customize the monitoring process, including setting poll frequencies, organizing resources, and automating monitoring configurations.

Note

Tags are case-sensitive.

Supported tags for OCI monitoring

This table below provides list of the OpManager Nexus Tags available to be used in OCI monitoring. Learn more about OpManager Nexus Tags.

Tags Functionality
monitor_site24x7 The monitor will not be discovered when this tag’s value field is set to false in the OCI console. This tag is given priority over other tags when this value is set to false.
group_site24x7 OCI users can automatically segment the resources into Monitor Groups in OpManager Nexus using this tag. The tags that you assign get synced with OpManager Nexus during every poll, ensuring that the Monitor Group you’ve created always stays up to date.
uptime_site24x7 When this tag’s value field is set to true, uptime monitoring for OCI resources is enabled and the metric collection is disabled.
account_site24x7 In each child monitor, this tag is appended automatically in the OpManager Nexus console to denote the OCI monitor name, thereby helping to keep track of monitors with the same monitor name across different OCI compartments. This tag doesn't have a value field associated with it.
