106014: Deny inbound ICMP source

Cisco ASA is a security device that provides the combined capabilities of a firewall, an antivirus, and an intrusion prevention system. It also facilitates virtual private network (VPN) connections. It helps to detect threats and stop attacks before they spread through the network.

Message: %ASA-3-106014: Deny inbound icmp src interface_name : IP_address[([idfw_user | FQDN_string ], sg_info )] dst interface_name : IP_address [([idfw_user| FQDN_string ], sg_info )] (type dec , code dec).

Event 106014 is generated when the ASA denies access to inbound ICMP packet. By default, all ICMP packets are denied access unless specifically allowed. The source and destination interfaces are specified in the message.
