106027: Deny source by access-group

Cisco ASA is a security device that provides the combined capabilities of a firewall, an antivirus, and an intrusion prevention system. It also facilitates virtual private network (VPN) connections. It helps to detect threats and stop attacks before they spread through the network.

Message: %ASA-4-106027:acl_ID: Deny src [source address] dst [destination address] by access-group “access-list name".

Event 106027 is generated when a non-IP packet is denied by the ACL.  This message would be displayed even if you do not have the log option enabled for an extended ACL. The ID of the ACL, the source and destination addresses, and the name of the access-group are specified in the message.

How could you resolve this situation?

Contact the remote host administrator if this event occurs because of the same source IP address.
