105040: Mate failover version is not compatible
Cisco ASA is a security device that provides the combined capabilities of a firewall, an antivirus, and an intrusion prevention system. It also facilitates virtual private network (VPN) connections. It helps to detect threats and stop attacks before they spread through the network.
Message: %ASA-1-105040: (Primary) Mate failover version is not compatible.
The primary and secondary ASAs should run the same failover software version to act as a failover pair. Event 105040 is generated when the secondary ASA failover software version is not compatible with the primary ASA. This would disable failover on the primary ASA.
How could you resolve this situation?
To enable failover, make sure that the primary and secondary ASAs run the same software version.
