105048: Mate’s service module is different from mine
Cisco ASA is a security device that provides the combined capabilities of a firewall, an antivirus, and an intrusion prevention system. It also facilitates virtual private network (VPN) connections. It helps to detect threats and stop attacks before they spread through the network.
Message: %ASA-1-105048: (unit ) Mate’s service module (application ) is different from mine (application ).
Event 105048 is generated when different applications are running on the service modules in the Active and Standby units. This would make the two failover units incompatible.
How could you resolve this situation?
First, configure the failover peers to have the identical service modules. Then reenable failover.
