317008: Route deleted

Cisco ASA is a security device that provides the combined capabilities of a firewall, an antivirus, and an intrusion prevention system. It also facilitates virtual private network (VPN) connections. It helps to detect threats and stop attacks before they spread through the network.

Message: %ASA-6-317007: Deleted route_type route dest_address netmask via gateway_address [distance /metric ] on interface_name route_type.

Event 317008 is generated when a route is deleted from the routing table. The message contains information on the:

  • Routing protocol type.
  • Destination IP address.
  • Netmask for the destination network.
  • Gateway address by which destination network is reached.
  • Distance of the route.
  • Metric for the route.
  • Name of the interface through which the traffic is routed.
