104001: Switching to Active
Cisco ASA is a security device that provides the combined capabilities of a firewall, an antivirus, and an intrusion prevention system. It also facilitates virtual private network (VPN) connections. It helps to detect threats and stop attacks before they spread through the network.
Message: %ASA-1-104001: (Primary) Switching to ACTIVE (cause: string).
Event 104001 is generated when the failover pair is forced to switch roles, either by entering the 'failover Active' command on the Standby unit, or the 'no failover Active' command on the Active unit.
How could you resolve this situation?
No action is required if this event is caused by manual intervention. Otherwise, use the cause reported by the secondary unit to verify the status of both units of the pair.
