113040: Terminating the VPN connection attempt 

Cisco ASA is a security device that provides the combined capabilities of a firewall, an antivirus, and an intrusion prevention system. It also facilitates virtual private network (VPN) connections. It helps to detect threats and stop attacks before they spread through the network. 

Message: %ASA-4-113040: Terminating the VPN connection attempt from attemptedgroup. Reason: This connection is group locked to locked group.

 

Event 113040 is generated when the tunnel group, over which the connection is attempted, is not the same as that of the one in the group lock. The tunnel group over which the connection had come in and for which connection had been locked are specified in the message.

How could you resolve this situation?

Check the group-lock value in the group policy or the user attributes.
