2271: W3 event logging module failed to load

The IIS World Wide Web Publishing Service is responsible for managing the HTTP protocol and HTTP performance counters. An IIS web site is a unique collection of web pages and web applications that is hosted on an IIS web server.

Event 2271 is generated when the logging module of a particular site could not be initialized. The site is specified in the event log message. The site would therefore be non-functional.

How could you resolve this situation?

Stop and restart the World Wide Web Publishing Service. This will also stop any other services that depend on it. So, they would also need to be restarted.

We can help you simplify log management and improve your organization's security with EventLog Analyzer.
