IIS Server Audit Event: 1129

1129: W3SVC event binding failure invalid access

The IIS World Wide Web Publishing Service is responsible for managing the HTTP protocol and HTTP performance counters. An IIS web site is a unique collection of web pages and web applications that is hosted on an IIS web server.

Event 1129 is generated when the W3SVC did not register a particular URL prefix for a site. The URL prefix and the site are specified in the message. This could either be because the network endpoint for the site's IP address could not be created or the IP listen list for HTTP.Sys did not have any usable IP addresses.

How could you resolve this situation?

The IP listen list is empty by default. Unnecessary entries in the list may affect web site availability. So in case the IP listen list is not empty, clear the list.
