1098: W3SVC event set site maximum connections failed
The IIS World Wide Web Publishing Service is responsible for managing the HTTP protocol and HTTP performance counters. An IIS web site is a unique collection of web pages and web applications that is hosted on an IIS web server.
Event 1098 is generated when the W3SVC failed to set the maximum connections for a particular virtual site. The virtual site is specified in the event log message.
How could you resolve this situation?
Stop and restart the World Wide Web Publishing Service. This will also stop any other services that depend on it. So, they would also need to be restarted.
