1173: W3SVC failed to initialize
The IIS web sites that use HTTP rely on several IIS components for their availability. The IIS World Wide Web Publishing Service (W3SVC) is one among them.The W3SVC is responsible for managing the HTTP protocol and HTTP performance counters.
Event 1173 is generated when the W3SVC did not initialize the HTTP driver and hence unable to start.
How could you resolve this situation?
Stop and restart the W3SVC and HTTP services.
