5161: WAS event WMS application no appication root error
The IIS World Wide Web Publishing Service is responsible for managing the HTTP protocol and HTTP performance counters. An IIS web site is a unique collection of web pages and web applications that is hosted on an IIS web server.
Event 5161 is generated when a site has no root application defined. The site is specified in the event log message. This would cause the site to be ignored.
How could you resolve this situation?
If the application path of a web site is incorrect, the site will not start. Hence, set a valid application path and restart the site.
