1006: IIS WMSvc startup unable to activate HWC
The IIS Web Management Service (WMSvc) facilitates remote and delegated management of web servers and the web sites and applications in it.
Event 1006 is generated when an attempt to activate Hostable Web Core (HWC) failed. This would have caused the Web Management Service startup to fail.
How could you resolve this situation?
Check the Win32 error number in the Application event log. The entry in the error would be the return code from the HWC activation call. This return code would help to track down the root cause of failure in the Hosted Web Core.
