HighPerf Add-on System Requirements

Prerequisites

  1. CStore database is supported with PostgreSQL database version 10 or above only. It cannot be installed with remote PostgreSQL or MSSQL database.
  2. The Windows server must have the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable installed to enable the HighPerf add-on.                       If it is not already installed, please download and install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable before proceeding.

Recommendations

  1. CPUs with a total combined PassMark score of 10,000 or higher is recommended. To learn more, click here.
  2. Hard Drive recommendation:
    • HDD with RPM 10000 or higher is recommended. SSD is ideal for best performance.
    • The Read & Write speed should be 350MiB/s or higher for upto 50k flows/sec.
    • The Read & Write speed should be 500MiB/s or higher for 50k to 100k flows/sec.

Note:

  • We strongly recommend assigning a dedicated machine for NetFlow Analyzer.
  • Aggregated data is calculated based on the top 100 records.
  • Flow rate and Disk space are calculated based on 1000 interfaces.
  • We don't recommend enabling Attacks(ASAM) if the flow rate is more than 10k flows/sec.

These memory(RAM) recommendations are calculated for a maximum of 200 devices(routers), and will vary based on the load.
