How to share the Primary and Secondary Netflow Analyzer folders with one another for failover configuration ?

    Steps to share Primary and Secondary Netflow Analyzer folders with one another (OpManager standard & professional editions)

    • Go to the <OpManager_home> directory in the primary/secondary server.
    • Right click on Opmanager folder. Click on Properties -> Sharing -> Advanced sharing -> Add.
    • Make sure the "Share name" is Netflow Analyzer.
    • Click on Permissions -> Object Types -> Choose computer.
    • Select the secondary server name. And choose "Full Control"
    • Click Permissions -> Object Types -> Choose User.
    • Select the secondary server user name and choose "Full Control"
    • Click on Apply
    • Click on OK.

    Steps to share Primary and Secondary Central Netflow Analyzer folders with one another (OpManager enterprise edition)

    • Go to the <OpManagerCentral_home> directory in the primary/secondary server.
    • Right click on OpManager Central folder. Click on Properties -> Sharing -> Advanced sharing -> Add.
    • Make sure the "Share name" is OpManagerCentral.
    • Click on Permissions -> Object Types -> Choose computer.
    • Select the secondary server name. And choose "Full Control"
    • Click Permissions -> Object Types -> Choose User.
    • Select the secondary server user name and choose "Full Control"
    • Click on Apply
    • Click on OK.

    Steps to share Primary and Secondary Netflow Analyzer Probe folders with one another (OpManager enterprise edition)

    • Go to the <OpManagerProbe_home> directory in the primary/secondary server.
    • Make sure the "Share name" is OpManagerProbe.
    • Click on Permissions -> Object Types -> Choose computer.
    • Select the secondary server name. And choose "Full Control"
    • Click Permissions -> Object Types -> Choose User.
    • Select the secondary server user name and choose "Full Control"
    • Click on Apply
    • Click on OK.

    Note: For both Netflow Analyzer Professional and Enterprise editions, while sharing the primary and secondary Netflow Analyzer folders with one another, it is recommended (though not mandatory) to have a separate user account with administrator priviliges. To change the service Log On account,

    • Go to Windows Services.
    • Right click on ManageEngine OpManager service.
    • Click Properties -> Log on.
    • Choose "This account" and select the required user account
    • Click OK.
