1.What is the best practice for performance polling settings?

You can tune the performance polling based on the poll interval of the monitors present in APM. 2. What is the difference between APM standalone and Plugin version? What are the limitations of the plugin?

The plugin and standalone versions offer the same feature-wise. However there are 3 limitations in the plugin version:

  • User roles- Applications Manager stand-alone version offers user roles like: admin, operator, delegated admin, users, managers, etc. Whereas in the plug-in version offers only two roles: administrator and operator.
  • Add host as a monitor- Syncing alarms requires users to add their host as a monitor in the Applications Manager-plug in version.
  • Shutdown service- The plug-in option does not offer shutdown service.
