'Interactive logon: Prompt user to change password before expiration' is a security policy setting that determines when users are warned before their passwords expire. It applies to Windows 10 devices.

Description

'Interactive logon: Prompt user to change password before expiration' allows you to specify the number of days before which users are warned about the password expiration. This policy helps in prompting users to change their passwords before they expire and prevents them from getting locked out of the system. The Interactive logon: Prompt user to change password before expiration value can be anything from 0 to 999. For example, when the value is set to 3, if the expiration date is in 3 days or fewer, every time a user logs on to the domain, a password change reminder dialog box is displayed.
