  • How do I find out my Build number?
  • 1 Log in to the ADAudit Plus web console, and click License in the top pane.
  • 2 You will find the build number mentioned below the product version. This is the current build number of ADAudit Plus.

We recommend users move to the latest version, ADAudit Plus 6.0 build 6010 (released in August 2019).

Note: Depending on your current build number, you may need to apply a series of service packs before you can upgrade to the latest build.  If you have to install more than one service pack, exit Update Manager after every installation.

Instructions to apply Service Pack

Steps to apply service pack (PostgreSQL/MySQL)

  1. Stop the ADAudit Plus server (Start → Run. Type services.msc and stop  ManageEngine ADAudit Plus).
  2. Back up the existing ADAudit Plus installation by following any of the steps below:
    • Take a snapshot of the SQL server.
    • Zip the entire product installation folder, i.e.:
       <Installation_folder>\ManageEngine\ADAudit Plus
    • Take a backup of the database:
      1. Go to <Installation_folder>\ManageEngine\ADAudit Plus\bin and execute backupDB.bat in the command prompt.
  3. Go to <Installation_folder>\ManageEngine\ADAudit Plus\bin and execute UpdateManager.bat in the command prompt.

    Note: For computers on Windows 2008 and above with User Account Control (UAC) enabled, go to <Installation_folder>\ManageEngine\ADAudit Plus\bin, open the command prompt using Run as administrator, and then execute UpdateManager.bat.

  4. Click Browse, and select the downloaded PPM file → Install.

    Note: Wait until the upgrade completes. Do not terminate the service pack upgrade process prematurely.

Steps to apply service pack (MS SQL)

  1. Stop the ADAudit Plus server (Start → Run. Type services.msc and stop ManageEngine ADAudit Plus).
  2. Back up the existing ADAudit Plus installation by following any of the steps below:
    • Take a snapshot of the SQL server.
    • Zip the entire product installation folder, i.e.: <Installation_folder>\ManageEngine\ADAudit Plus
    • Take a backup of the database using the detach and attach method:
      1. Log in to Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
      2. Right-click on the database (DB) that you want to move (eg: adap). Select Task → Detach.
      3. In the Detach DB wizard, check both boxes next to Drop Connections and Update Statistics, and click Ok.
      4. Go to the DB storage path (E.g.: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\DATA). Copy the .mdf and .ldf files (eg: adap.mdf and adap_log.ldf).
      5. Save both of the above files in any desired location (to ensure there is a backup).
      6. Log in to Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
      7. Right-click on Databases → Task →  Attach.
      8. In the Attach DB wizard, click Add.
      9. Select the .mdf file from the existing DB storage path (eg: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\DATA), and click Ok (the .ldf file will be selected automatically).
  3. Now, run the UpdateManager.bat file under <Installation_Folder>\ManageEngine\ADAudit Plus\bin.
