How do I restrict Active Desktop settings for specific users in my network?

Active Desktop was a feature provided by Microsoft. You can use this feature to enable your desktop to work like your personal Web page. This document provides you with steps required to restrict Active Desktop settings for specific users in your network.

Steps

To restrict Active Desktop settings for specific users in your network, follow the steps given below:

  1. Navigate to Configurations > Windows > Security Policies
  2. Enter a name and description for the configuration
  3. In the Define Configuration section, click Active Desktop
  4. In the Enable column, click the following:
    • Restrict adding any desktop items
    • Restrict closing any desktop items
    • Restrict deleting any desktop items
    • Restrict editing any desktop items
  5. Choose a target

    Note: Choose the users for whom you want restrict Active Desktop settings.

  6. Configure the execution settings as required
  7. Click Deploy
